Having my own clothing line has always been a dream of mine.
Growing up in Mississippi watching my grandmother sew and
craft was a great blessing for me. I fell in love with sewing,
painting and pretty much anything creative.
Later after moving to California, I took the traditional approach
and got a "good" corporate job.
I've worked in retail for over 15 years, both in the stores and in
the buying office. However after years of "Motherhood Guilt", I
came to the conclusion that I needed to take a leap of faith both
for my children and my own sanity. I needed to create a career
for myself that would allow me to spend more time with and be
more involved in my children's lives. I left corporate America
behind in 2005 and Itsy Glitsy was born in 2006.
I personally seek out the most beautiful and softest fabrics and
love combining them in unusual ways. I meticulously hand make
all of my merchandise, I hope you will love my creations as
much as I love creating them.
